YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As a Tailor Shop Manager for Zegna, you will play a pivotal role within the Retail Flagship Boutique. This role will oversee all aspects of operations within the Tailor Shop, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and efficient workflow.
You will be responsible for overseeing the NY Tailor Shop ensuring a positive and productive working environment is maintined.

The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

Provide effective leadership to the team of tailors and seamstresses, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Outline clear expectations, delegate tasks, and provide guidance/feedback to ensure the team meets production goals and delivers excellent service to customers.
Oversee the production process from start to finish, including fabric cutting, stitching, alterations, and finishing touches.
Coordinate workflow to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of orders while maintaining high-quality standards.
Conduct thorough quality checks on finished garments to ensure they meet customer specifications and company standards. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain quality consistency.
Enter alterations and repairs tickets into TSM in a timely manner, providing updates to the team when there are changes to the queue promise date.
Maintain accountability for store inventories by vigilantly reporting any live merchandise found in tailor shop.
Maintains integrity of alteration forms submitted by the sales team – communicating unclear or missing information to the CA and management.
Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Partner with Head Tailor, proactively communicating supply needs to Operations manager.
Work within a pre-set budget, partnering with management to ensure budgeted external mending costs are not exceeded.
Partner with Master Tailor and impliment training practoces for all new hires on tailoring techniques, equipment operation, and customer service protocols.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Identify opportunities for skill development and career advancement within the team.

WHO YOU ARE:

Proficiency in tailoring techniques, including pattern making, garment construction, and alterations.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Knowledge of fabrics, sewing equipment, and garment construction methods.
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic accounting principles.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, with additional bonus opportunities available
